So I'm in town from Texas, so I was a bit hesitant to try a Tex-Mex joint in the DC area because the bar is pretty high for my Texas taste buds. I gambled with this place due to distance from the building I was working at. Boy did that gamble pay off! This place has really good food. I think it's more Central American flavor than actual Tex-Mex, but it was really good! Their Chicken tamales being wrapped in banana leaves rather than corn husks was different. But I loved the hint on sweetness in the tamales! This place won't disappoint, even for a Texan traveling to this area. Keep up the awesome work Katy's Tex-Mex!!
Went here for breakfast after seeing a video review. I love some authentic Mexican food. So I got a breakfast burrito $7 not bad I guess I wish I was able to load it better but they charge like 75 cents for extra. Makes me miss California Mexican food cuz the give you all the extra onions, pico and green sauce this place didn't do that so it'll my burrito was a bit dry to my taste. But the service was nice very simple no complicated and the ambience of the restaurant was clean it's inside of a gas station.
Pupusas are made-to-order and the tacos are very good as well. It's very affordable and good quality. They also have daily specials, such as steak and onions or grilled fish.

Have been in and out of that Exxon many times, and never even considered eating here. I was hungry and grabbed a chicken quesadilla to go. It was one of the best quesadillas I've ever had, have since been back and gotten the steak and some other things. The cheese pulls are ridiculous. Hidden Gem!

My new favorite spot!! The food is good. prices are good too. Don't be deceived. It may look like a little hole in the wall, but it's a hidden gem :) Ohh and the ladies that work there are sooo nice !!
